Age Exchange and Community Integrated Care to Officially Launch Partnership with Celebration

BLACKHEATH-based Age Exchange and Community Integrated Care are set to officially launch their ground-breaking partnership with a celebration on Thursday 11 October (1pm3pm).

The launch event, which will take place at the renowned national centre for reminiscence arts in Blackheath, will be attended by Age Exchange CEO, Rebecca Packwood, Community Integrated Care CEO, Mark Adams and CEO of Skills for Care, Sharon Allen, who will be speaking at the celebration.

Guests at the event will hear the ambitious plans for the partnership from both organisations, following the merger. They will be able to gain an insight into the services delivered by participating in a tour of the Age Exchange Blackheath centre and seeing some of its activities in action, hosted by incredible volunteers.

The merger, which was announced last month, will enable Age Exchange to benefit from Community Integrated Care’s infrastructure, grow its organisation and increase its reach. It will also enable the latter to elevate its existing dementia services and expand its offer to include Age Exchange’s industry-leading reminiscence and dementia services to the people they support.

Rebecca Packwood, CEO of Age Exchange, said:

“We are looking forward to welcoming Sharon Allen, local dignitaries and representatives from Age Exchange and Community Integrated Care to our official launch event next month.

“The event will highlight the many opportunities presented by our partnership with Community Integrated Care and it will bring our two communities together for the very first time.”

Mark Adams, CEO of Community Integrated Care, added:

“Our official launch event will not only mark the start of our exciting journey with Age Exchange and reveal some of our future plans, but it will also mark the first part of an ambitious strategy for our organisation.

“We are planning to work with more innovative programmes and charities to continually develop and improve our offer to the people we care for, as well as supporting our charitable principles.”
