British Red Cross annual fundraiser returns to Sheffield

It’s never too early to be thinking about Christmas, right? So why not plan your office party with a night to remember! In December, Sheffield will be hosting 3 hours of guaranteed laughs with Giggle Aid 2018.

Giggle Aid returns for its tenth instalment during #UKCharityWeek on the 9th December 2018, at The Leadmill, 6 Leadmill Road, Sheffield, S1 4SE. This amazing comedy venue is just two minutes from the train station, and is Sheffield’s longest running live music venue.

The British Red Cross is looking to sell out this evening of top-quality comedy, and with tickets at only £12 per person, there’s no excuse to miss out!

The Comedy Star Squad includes:

Mitch Benn, one of the best writers of comic songs in the country and the author of the hit comedy single ‘Everything Sounds Like Coldplay Now’.

Tony Law, who uses his wild imagination to perform his wonderfully wacky, funny fictional tales. Also a TV regular on comedy shows such as ‘Have I Got News For You’ and ‘8 out of 10 Cats’.

Tez Ilyas, described as ‘radiantly entertaining’ by The Times and has appeared on shows such as ‘Mock The Week’ and ‘The Last Leg’.

Tez Ilyas

Glenn Moore, a stand-up writer and sketch comedian who was nominated for Best Comedy Show at the Edinburgh Fringe 2018.

Tanyalee Davis

Also joining the hilarity for charity is Tanyalee Davis, who performed “Little Comedian, BIG Laughs”, Carl Donnelly with his controversial and silly sense of humour and Jonathon Mayor who has been described as “bolshy but delightful” by Manchester online.

Last but certainly not least, the host Sully O’Sullivan is returning for his 7th year!

With cabaret style seating, food and drinks available, and a raffle and auction going on throughout the night, not only does Giggle Aid promise to satisfy all comedy lovers, it would also make a perfect Christmas party.

All comedians are donating their time to raise funds so that the Red Cross can help people whose lives have been devastated by crises and disaster, in Sheffield, Yorkshire, the UK and overseas.

What’s better than laughing for a good cause?

Tickets are just £12 per person; get them while they’re still there! Purchase online at www.redcross.org.uk/Giggle, or contact Helen Whale on 0113 201 5256, or hwhale@redcross.org.uk
