Calling on bakers to help make a difference for Muscular Dystrophy UK
MUSCULAR Dystrophy UK is calling on people from across the UK to join their ‘Bake a Difference’ fundraising campaign, on Thursday 9 November.
The campaign began after supporter Sammy de Laszlo, from Hampshire, who was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy in 2012, organised a bake sale with his family to help raise awareness of his condition. Sammy, now 15, is on a mission to raise thousands and hopes people will join him to ‘Bake a Difference’.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is the leading charity for more than 110,000 children and adults in the UK living with one of over 60 muscle wasting and weakening conditions. All the money raised will help fund groundbreaking research and life-changing support.
Louise Moffat, Fundraising Product Development Manager at Muscular Dystrophy UK:
“Whether you’re a star baker or a shop-bought faker, every pound raised will make a difference for those living with muscle wasting and weakening conditions. Join us on Thursday 9 November and hold a cake sale at home or a bake-off at work and invite your friends, family and colleagues to sample the delicious treats and make a donation.”
