Charity to benefit from NFT project
ROALD Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, which provides specialist nurses and support for seriously ill children, will benefit from an NFT project, which has a strong track record of raising funds for charitable causes.
The AlphaBetty Doodles NFT project was created in August 2021 and is based on a children’s book character designed by Cheryl Griffin.
AlphaBetty is a character who helps children go through the alphabet, as well as promoting kindness and confidence.
Over 1,000 ETH in AlphaBetty NFTs have been traded on the secondary market and Betties are held by over 3,000 unique owners, including celebrities, professional athletes and high-profile social media influencers.
AlphaBetty’s 10k NFT project, which initially sold out, has always held a strong ethos of supporting children and educational charities. Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity is the latest organisation to benefit from the project.
Funds raised will help provide more specialist nurses and support for seriously ill children. The partnership will also provide support in other ways, helping to improve the resilience of families who find life very tough.
Cheryl Griffin, Artist at AlphaBetty, said:
“AlphaBetty Doodles is proud to be supporting Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity. We have such admiration for the charity’s cause of providing specialist nurses and care for seriously ill children, which is why we were very keen to be able to show our support and give recognition to our audience of such a worthy charity.”
Louise Griew, Chief Executive at Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, added:
“We are delighted to be supported by AlphaBetty, their support will help us establish more Roald Dahl Nurse Specialists across the UK. Right now, we are reaching 24,000 children and young people, however, we know there are over 100,000 living with a serious illness. Together we can ensure more seriously ill children and families receive the vital support and care they need.”
