Environment & Conservation Award will be declared null and void, and re-contested

The Charity Today Awards judges have concluded that the Environment & Conservation Award will be declared null and void with the award being re-opened for nominations.

The news comes after judges concluded the competition rules and agreement had not been adhered to and at a recent meeting of the panel it was unanimously agreed that it was the right thing to do in the circumstances.

Charity Today Executive Editor Lee Rayment said: “We take the awards very seriously and it is important for us to feel that we are doing right by all the nominees and giving them a level playing field. If you win a Charity Today Award that is because you have deserved it and met all the criteria, if something comes to light we will not be afraid to act and re-contest the award.”

The Environment & Conservation Award has now re-opened for nominations; please click here if you would like to nominate a charity to win this award.

The judging panel’s decision is always final.
