Everton in the Community raises more than £45k Through Birthday Celebrations
EVERTON in the Community celebrated its 36th birthday recently ahead of the Blues taking on Crystal Palace at Goodison Park and the charity’s fundraising efforts have already surpassed £45,000.
The Club’s official charity encouraged Evertonians to ‘be sound, bring a pound’ and take part in its mass bucket collection around the ground as it aimed to raise £40,000 on the night to represent the capacity of Goodison. 12 junior Blues had the night of a lifetime when they took on the role of EitC mascots and Toffee Lady, all contributing towards the total amount raised.
Hospitality members had the opportunity to take part in a silent auction across the lounges, bidding on items such as signed Jordan Pickford goalkeeper gloves and the chance to watch the first team train at Goodison Park, kindly donated by Official Club Partner FIGS. The direct-to-consumer healthcare apparel and lifestyle brand also showed their support to the life-changing work of Everton in the Community with a £20,000 donation as well as donating three pairs of hospitality tickets to the birthday fixture which raised thousands for the charity through a prize draw.
Everton Football Club has kindly gifted the match-worn shirts from the Crystal Palace fixture to the Club’s charitable arm in support of its fundraising efforts and you can bid on them at https://www.matchwornshirt.com/event/19-02-2024-everton-crystal-palace until Sunday 10 March.
Established in 1988, Everton in the Community has been providing a lifeline to those most in need across the Liverpool City Region for more than three decades, helping to create brighter futures and stronger communities through its innovative and impactful delivery.
Evertonians around the world have also shown their support for Everton in the Community with online and text donations flooding in celebration of the charity’s birthday. You can help support EitC’s life-changing work in Liverpool 4 and beyond through a wide variety of ways including traditional fundraising, playing Everton Lotteries, aligning your business with the charity or making a one-off donation.
