Everybody Health Takes Over Cheshire East’s One You Health Programme

INDEPENDENT charity Everybody Health and Leisure will take over the delivery of the One You programme across Cheshire East for an initial three-year period with three optional extension years.

One You is a funded service for residents in Cheshire East, offering support with weight management, smoking cessation, falls prevention and physical activity programmes. The service has been running for 7 years and responsibility for delivery will transfer to Everybody Health and Leisure in November 2024.

Everybody Health and Leisure has an established presence in Cheshire East, operating 16 leisure centres and 9 swimming pools across the borough as well as running a host of community-focused projects and events. Over the 10 years Everybody has operated it has built up close relationships with the services that they complement in the region. This includes an effective network of referral channels, that they will be utilising to allow health and social care professionals to direct prospective One You course participants to the service. Complementary services like One You are crucial in taking pressure off GPs, pharmacies and other parts of the health and social care services.

Everybody will work closely with Cheshire East Council to deliver the One You programme. Thomas Barton, CEO of Everybody said:
