Fab Four climb Everest for lifesaving charity

THE Fab Four from the Albion Inn based Tividale will be taking part in a twelve-day trek to Everest Base Camp to raise funds for Arrive Alive.

Arrive Alive is a West Midlands-based lifesaving charity that is dedicated to funding voluntary operated 999 vehicles for Community First Responders supporting West Midlands Ambulance Service. In addition to this Arrive Alive has enabled a number of publicly accessible defibrillators to become operational.

The Fab Four consists of Ranj Uppal, Gurm Uppal, Malk Uppal and Am Duley. They will be setting off for the twelve-day trek to Everest Base Camp on the 12th of April. To begin their trip they will be landing in Lukla which is deemed the world’s most dangerous landing strip. Over twelve days the Fab Four will be tackling various terrains and dizzying heights of up to 18,000 feet. All with the end goal of reaching Everest Base Camp.

“It came as a great surprise that four incredible people have chosen to team up and climb Everest to raise vital funds for Arrive Alive. Arrive Alive wouldn’t be able to carry out its lifesaving work without the support of incredible individuals giving up their time to help raise vital funds. All of the funds raised from their trek will be distributed directly into their local area of the Black Country. I look forward to seeing the Fab Four on their return from Everest Base Camp.”

The Fab Four have set a target of raising three thousand pounds for Arrive Alive to support their lifesaving work within communities. Arrive Alive is the UK’s only registered charity of its kind, supporting West Midlands Ambulance Service. Arrive Alive is solely funded by public donations and is dedicated to funding vital lifesaving vehicles and equipment for Community First Responders.
