Feed the Minds: Women’s Day Award for six outstanding organisations

FEED the Minds, an international development organisation dedicated to empowering communities through education and literacy has proudly announced its celebration of International Women’s Day 2024 by recognising the remarkable contributions of six outstanding organisations in the realm of women’s empowerment.

On 8 March 2024, International Women’s Day, Feed the Minds will pay tribute to these organisations for their relentless efforts in advancing gender equality, fostering women’s rights, and promoting education and opportunities for women around the world.

Sindh Community Foundation (SCF), Pakistan: Recognised for its impactful initiatives in empowering women in the cotton industry and promoting their rights and economic independence.

Society for the Improvement of Rural People (SIRP), Nigeria: Distinguished for its innovative programmes in combating FGM and promoting male involvement in gender equality initiatives.

Action for Child Social and Economic Transformation (ACSET), Uganda: Acclaimed for its tireless advocacy in empowering women through sustainable livelihoods and economic opportunities.

Dodi Community Foundation (DCF), Uganda: Acknowledged for its innovative projects in empowering marginalised women, particularly widows and girls, through skill-building initiatives and community development efforts.

Self Help Association for Rural Education and Employment (SHARE), India: Commended for its transformative efforts in providing vocational training and establishing study centres for economic empowerment in the challenging terrain of Palani Hills, India.

Tanjona Association (TA), Madagascar: Applauded for its exemplary leadership in empowering marginalised women and fostering environmental conservation efforts.

Feed the Minds acknowledges the critical role these organisations play in creating a more equitable and inclusive world for women and girls. By recognising their achievements, Feed the Minds aims to amplify their voices and inspire others to join the global movement for gender equality.
