Festival of Sport and Fun for Autism and Learning Disabilities on July 8th

Helen Krauze writes

TALKBACK are thrilled to invite you to our annual Festival of Sport and Fun on the 8th of July 10am – 2.30pm at Wycombe Leisure Centre, Handy Cross.

For anyone in Bucks and surrounding areas with autism or who has a learning disability, there will be something for everyone, from seated yoga, dance, and bowls, to cricket and netball; along with a marketplace of stalls with information on other sports.

The day will be packed with a wide range of sporting sessions run by our partners, each of whom has significant experience in providing sporting opportunities for autistic people and those with learning disabilities.

How will the day work?

The day is a drop-in session and everyone is welcome. You can join us at any point and try out any (or all!) of the activities. There’s no pressure to be involved in all of it, so if you just want to come along and try one sport, then that’s totally fine.

We cannot wait to welcome you for what promises to be a brilliant day.

With thanks to our funders

We are grateful to Wycombe Community Board, without whom we could not put on such an amazing event.
