Gary Kemp announced as Chair of Roundhouse Gala Committee
GARY Kemp guitarist, singer, songwriter, actor and co-founding member of Spandau Ballet has been announced as the Chair of the Roundhouse Gala Committee. He will spearhead the committee for March 2024’s Roundhouse Gala.
Lorna Clarke, Director of Music at the BBC, also joins Gary on the Roundhouse Gala Committee as Vice-Chair.
The biennial Roundhouse Gala, Rise up for the Roundhouse, raises vital funds for the venue’s charitable work with 11-30-year-olds and this year takes place on Wednesday 20 March 2024.
In 2022, the Roundhouse Gala raised £1.2 million towards the venue’s vital youth programme. Each year, the Roundhouse works with 8,000 young people, providing them with life-changing opportunities in world-class facilities where young people can develop skills, grow as individuals or turn their creativity into a career.
Each year guests are treated to a sit-down dinner and performances from emerging and global talent. In previous years, performers have included Guy Garvey, Sam Smith, Beverley Knight and Ronnie Wood, with an auction of exclusive prizes including unique artwork and one-of-a-kind experiences.
Other committee members include Gary Kemp (Chair), Lorna Clarke (Vice-Chair), Josh Allott, Nick Allott OBE, Johanna Ehrnrooth, Trevor Horn, Dylan Jones OBE, Sarah Liversedge, Brian Magnus, Kazim Rashid, Stacey Tappis-Offer and Ewan Venters.
