Inspirational Golf Tournament Set to Return
An industry golf day and networking event in memory of Raj Aggarwal is set to return in 2024. The third instalment of the much-loved event will take place on the 9th of May at the Forest of Arden golf course, West Midlands.
To date, it has helped to raise over £100,000 for good causes across the country. In 2024, the event organisers alongside the Association of Convenience Stores, have chosen National Children’s Charity ‘The Boparan Charitable Trust’ to be the beneficiary of the event. The Trust specialise in supporting a Brighter Future for children with disabilities, life-limiting conditions, and those in extreme poverty across the UK.
On the day teams of four will get to enjoy the luxurious surroundings of the Forest of Arden’s Championship Golf Course, whilst the other guests will be treated to an afternoon of beer, wine and gin tasting from some of the industry’s finest suppliers. The guests will come together for an awards dinner and live entertainment in the evening.
Founder of the event Sunita Aggarwal said:
“I am truly humbled by the continued support of this event from across the convenience stores industry. Particularly in these immensely challenging times for businesses, families, and individuals. I am delighted to be partnering with the Boparan Charity, it has been inspirational to meet their ambassador Rafi and to learn first-hand about the work they do in transforming young lives.”
Kayleigh Biggs, Event Manager for the Boparan Charitable Trust said:
“A huge thank you to Sunita and her family for choosing the Trust as their charity for 2024. We cannot wait for this amazing day. A special mention to their organising committee Julian, Terry, Sarah and the Association of Convenience Stores. The event will help to raise vital funds to support our work, whilst also honouring the legacy and memory of Raj Aggarwal.”
