Is Amazon supporting an extremist group? A Times investigation believes they are
A Times investigation by Andrew Norfolk has concluded that internet giant Amazon has agreed to fund a hardline British charity whose leading ideologue supports child marriage, female genital mutilation and stoning people to death for adultery.
The article goes on to say that under its charitable programme, Amazon will make donations to The Muslim Research and Development Foundation (MRDF) whenever its supporters buy products.
The London-based group has been described by the government’s counter-extremism commissioner, Sara Khan, as ‘the main Salafist organisation in the UK’.
