Join Njinga’s Santa Charity Cycle to spread holiday cheer for children’s hospice

KICK off the Christmas season and help spread a little joy and festive spirit this December by joining Njinga’s Santa Charity Cycle in support of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

It’s free, family-friendly and open to anyone who can ride 15.5 km — just don’t forget to bring a gift.

The cycle ride sets off from Richmond on Saturday 7 December, led by ride captains and motorbike outriders to ensure a safe journey for all cyclists, as they head to Shooting Star House in Hampton to personally deliver gifts to the children and young people the charity care for.

Shooting Star Children’s support families who have a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or who have been bereaved, across Surrey, south-west London or north-west London.

After the ride, celebrations continue at the after-party, where you can enjoy free food, warm drinks, live music and the chance to win amazing raffle prizes. Bringing the community together and making a difference.

2024 marks the 12th year of Njinga’s Santa Cycle, which since it began has delivered 6000 Christmas presents and raised tens of thousands of pounds for Shooting Star.

Beverley Danckert, Community Fundraiser Manager at Shooting Star Children’s Hospices said:

“We are truly grateful to Njinga Cycling for supporting us with their 12th annual Santa Cycle this December. Witnessing a sea of Santa’s cycling is an amazing sight and a huge thank you to them all for their generosity with gifts and donations that make so much difference to our vital work. We encourage you to sign up today for this fabulous festive event.”

Togo Keynes, from Njinga Cycling, shared:

“We’re thrilled to be holding our 12th Santa Charity Cycle in support of Shooting Star. We love to be able to bring the community together and deliver gifts for the incredible children and raise as much money as possible to help the families they support each year. It’s free to join, so bring your family, friends and neighbours for a festive day out that’s sure to warm your heart.”
