Kent Community Foundation appoint Senior Philanthropy Adviser
RACHEL Vinton, an experienced client relationship and business development manager with extensive experience in developing strategic, high-value client partnerships has joined Kent Community Foundation from BlackRock Investment Management.
Rachel worked at BlackRock for 14 years in several roles across the fixed-income investment business and client business teams.
As Senior Philanthropy Adviser, Rachel will lead the development of relationships with professional advisers across Kent and London, who are working with ultra-high net worth clients who can make a difference, by either giving while they’re living, or leaving a percentage of assets to charities in their will. Specifically, Rachel has been appointed to raise the profile of Kent Community Foundation with professional advisers and increase the number of philanthropic referrals they receive.
Josephine McCartney, Chief Executive, of Kent Community Foundation said:
“We have appointed Rachel as a Senior Philanthropy Adviser to develop the work we have been doing over the last six years to increase the amount of funding we are able to award to grassroots organisations across the county. We currently manage over 90 philanthropic funds and in the last financial year donated over £4.5 million to good causes and with Rachel’s valuable experience we hope to be able to increase our fund holder portfolio, which in turn will allow us to award more financial support to hundreds of small charitable groups across Kent and Medway.”
Rachel Vinton, Senior Philanthropy Adviser, Kent Community Foundation said:
“I am delighted to join the Kent Community Foundation team and have already seen their total commitment to supporting small charitable organisations which are doing so much for communities across the county. I will be providing specialist local philanthropy knowledge and support to professional advisers and their clients so that Kent Community Foundation can assist them to open funds, from which much-needed grants will be awarded to the good causes that are making a real difference.”
