Learning disability charity’s ‘BestFest’ raises £2,000 for Cornwall services

LEARNING disability charity Hft’s Resource Centre in Wadebridge recently hosted more than 250 members of the local community for a brand new one-day festival called ‘BestFest’.

The idea was suggested by the learning disabled people supported at the Resource Centre to create a more modern and lively version of its traditional annual garden party and BestFest turned out to be exactly that.

Olly Mitchell, Day Services Manager said:

Learning disability charity's 'BestFest' raises £2,000 for Cornwall services“The day was a huge success and everyone who attended had a fantastic time. The live music, mocktails, BBQ and a beauty bar were just a few of the attractions on offer during the day.”

Numerous Hft services had their own stalls too, raising money for their services all across Cornwall. In total, nearly £2,000 was raised and the Wadebridge service will use its portion of the funds to update the dining room.

Olly added:

“We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came through our gates on the day and we can’t wait to see you all for BestFest 2025.”
