Leominster businessman’s charity abseil adventure for his 66th Birthday
A businessman from Leominster will be celebrating his 66th Birthday in style by tackling the world’s biggest single-structure abseil tower, with an eye-watering drop of over 400ft.
Steve Yarwood, Managing Director of Securcom will be taking on the epic challenge to raise funds for the National Children Charity the Boparan Charitable Trust. The Trust helps to support a brighter future for children with disabilities, life-limiting conditions and those in extreme poverty.
The adrenaline-fuelled challenge will take place on the 1st of June down the side of the National Abseil Centre, Northamptonshire, which stands at over 400ft tall, the same as the iconic London Eye.
Steve Yarwood, said about the challenge:
“I’m looking forward to the challenge and hopefully raise £25,000 for such a great charitable trust, everyone involved within the trust works so hard putting things into place to support these children.”
Gareth Aston Director of the Boparan Charitable Trust said:
“It is not often that a fundraiser makes me speechless, but this challenge of Steve’s is truly epic! We are eternally grateful to him for choosing us for this phenomenal adventure and as the beneficiary of his landmark birthday.”
