MP’s Fleur Anderson and Rosena Allin-Khan’s London to Brighton Cycle

Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, MP for Tooting, and Fleur Anderson, MP for Putney are taking on the London to Brighton cycle to raise funds for the Time for a Change children’s appeal run by St George’s Hospital Charity.  

The appeal is transforming Children’s Services and the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at St George’s Hospital and aims to raise £5 million by 2024. St George’s outstanding care is world-renowned, and this hospital is the place that parents rely on when the worst happens to their children. Our children and their families deserve the best environment to match that care and support.

The London to Brighton cycle sees thousands of participants cycle 55 miles, either as part of fundraising teams or individually. The MPs will be joined by over 70 fundraisers as part of Team St George’s, ranging from paediatric staff to porters and surgeons.

Dr Rosena Allin-Khan, Labour MP for Tooting, said:

‘We’re so excited to meet this huge challenge of cycling all the way from Clapham down to the seafront in Brighton. We know that the staff at St George’s work tirelessly for their patients, and it’s fantastic that we have the opportunity to help fundraise for this transformation project.’

Fleur Anderson, Labour MP for Putney, added: 

‘This is not going to be easy, and it’s the furthest either of us has ever ridden, but we love a challenge, and raising money for St George’s Trust is such a great cause.’
