New Chief Executive at Greater London Fund for the Blind

The Greater London Fund for the Blind has appointed Olivia Curno into the role of Chief Executive.

Chair of Trustees Anna Tylor says: “We are delighted that Olivia will be at the helm. She brings with her a wealth of leadership, fundraising and communications experience and shares our ambitious vision for growth. We are determined to empower London’s blind and visually impaired people and the grass-roots organisations that serve them.”

Olivia Curno says: “GLFB’s ambitions for growth are both challenging and inspiring. Nearly half a million blind and visually-impaired children and adults live in London, but far too few are able to enjoy the vibrant cultural, educational and employment opportunities of our capital. We plan to change that – through innovative funding, strategic partnerships and a clear commitment to impact through collaboration. I can’t wait to get started.”

Olivia joins from children’s mental health charity Place2Be, where she was Director of Fundraising for four years. Prior to that Olivia led fundraising and communications at autism research charity Autistica. She will start in post on 13 August 2018.
