Norman Pace to host Rat Pack Tribute Concert for Shooting Star Children’s Hospices

COMEDY legend Norman Pace is set to host a spectacular musical event, Ember Big Band Salutes the Rat Pack, on Saturday 23rd March in aid of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices.

The concert, which will be held at Hammond Theatre, Hampton School, will be raising money for the local children’s hospice charity that cares for families with a baby, child or young person with a life-limiting condition, or whose child has died, across Surrey, south-west London and north-west London.

The band’s 20 musicians and four singers will remember Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis Jr. with some of their greatest hits including Birth of the Blues, Mack the Knife Mister Bojangles and Luck Be a Lady Tonight.

The concert will be conducted by Allan Rogers, who’s no stranger to large orchestras and even larger arenas, including the O2 Arena, as the Musical Director of the Strictly Come Dancing live tours.

Taking the helm as the host for the evening is actor and comedian Norman Pace. Best known for his partnership with Gareth Hale in Hale and Pace, their comedy sketch show topped the ratings for more than 10 years and won the international Golden Rose of Montreux TV Award. Their most famous comic creations were the stone-faced bouncers The Two Rons also known as ‘The Management’. Norman is now an actor, with an impressive track record in musical theatre. He has starred in Chicago in the West End and toured Hairspray, The Rocky Horror Show and Annie Get Your Gun. He has also enjoyed great success starring in a national tour of One Man, Two Guv’nors.

Norman Pace said:

“It’s a great pleasure for me to help Shooting Star Children’s Hospices. As the father of a disabled child, I understand the difficulties and pressures surrounding serious illness in a young person. Not just the illness itself, but also the effects on parents, family members and friends.”
