Oxford United in the Community Vice Chair completes eight-year term

OXFORD United in the Community’s Vice Chair Greig Box Turnbull is stepping down from the charity’s board after completing his eight-year term as a trustee.

Oxford United’s official charity thanked Greig for his “sterling service” after he reached his full term of office.

Greig, a former managing director of Oxford United, joined the charity’s board as a trustee in 2016 before becoming Vice Chair and has played a key role in its strategic development.

Matt Everett, CEO of Oxford United in the Community, said:

“On behalf of everyone at the charity, I’d like to thank Greig for his sterling service, guidance, advice and support which has been invaluable.

“Greig had a significant impact in re-positioning the charity, strengthening our governance and helping us deliver more impact in our community. We now have a great foundation for our future ambitions. Greig has been generous with his time and we wish him well for the future.”

Oxford United in the Community helps inspire people to live happier and healthier lives in better-connected communities using the power of football.

Greig said:

“It has been a real privilege to serve this fantastic charity and with excellent colleagues on the board.

“We have achieved so much and it’s wonderful to see the impact of the charity growing in our community. I leave the charity in a strong position for continued growth and I hope it continues to go from strength to strength over the coming years.”
