Prestat enters into partnership with Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity

PRESTAT’S proudest claim to literary fame is Roald Dahl, who made Prestat Truffles the centrepiece of his novel My Uncle Oswald. Dahl said: ‘I do so adore chocolate truffles as Prestat makes them’.

Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity provides specialist nurses and support to seriously ill children and their families. Their nurses currently help over 25,000 children lead more marvellous lives.

Prestat was established in 1902 and is one of London’s oldest chocolate shops. The company was appointed Purveyor of Chocolates to Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1975. Today, they are one of the few British Chocolatiers to work from tree to truffle and to produce chocolates in their London Chocolate Factory.

To launch the partnership, Prestat will be sending out festive chocolate gifts to all Roald Dahl Nurses across the UK, as well as a number of seriously ill children and families who the charity supports.

Prestat will also be donating a percentage of their sales over the upcoming Black Friday weekend to the charity.

Between Friday 25 – Tuesday 29 November, Prestat will be raising the prices of all their chocolates by £1. Every extra £1 they receive will be donated to help support seriously ill children and their families.

For Prestat customers with a generous spirit, their online checkout will provide the option to make an additional charitable donation during this period.
