Project Access shaping the future of education at the London Summit 2024
Project Access International has announced the third edition of the Project Access Summit, returning this year at Bush House, London on Saturday, 5th October. The summit will once again bring together influential voices in education, policy, and social impact to address the pressing educational inequality concerns facing today’s generation.
Project Access is dedicated to ensuring talented students have equal access to top-tier higher education opportunities regardless of their background. Through their mentorship programmes, they tirelessly seek to break down barriers beyond academia and foster potential.
This year’s London Summit aims to further their mission by providing a platform for thought-provoking conversations, collaboration, and real-world change to equip participants with insights and strategies not only for educational advancement but also for long-term career growth and social mobility.
Attendees can expect to enjoy a full day of engaging discussions, powerful panels, and meaningful networking opportunities with changemakers and leaders. Panels will address the challenges of navigating careers, including shattering the glass ceiling and accessing industries traditionally difficult to break into.
- Keynote Address by Prof. Matt Dickson: A leading expert on educational inequality, Prof. Dickson will share academic insights into the barriers preventing fair access to education and the practical steps needed to make lasting improvements.
- ‘Women in Leadership’ Panel, featuring prominent leaders such as Charlotte Lewis-Williams from DLA Piper and Felicity Long from Bain & Company.
- A dynamic ‘Policy, NGOs and International Relations’ Panel featuring global thought leaders, including Adam Ward, geopolitical analyst, David Henig, UK trade policy expert, Jyoti Hirani-Driver, COO of NATO DIANA, and Thomas Schultz-Jagow, executive leader for social and environmental justice.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from PA Mentees, offering a closer look at how mentorship, community, and peer support have shaped their educational paths and future opportunities.
Sharing his vision for the summit, Lukas Popp, Chief Executive Officer at Project Access said:
“The return of the Project Access Summit is a crucial moment for us to come together and reflect on how far we’ve come – and how much more needs to be done. Our mission to ‘create a world where passion and potential define a young person’s future’ goes beyond gaining access to education; it extends to breaking down the barriers that persist long after graduation.
“This summit is not only about discussing the power of education but also about ensuring that those who have overcome obstacles are positioned to lead and dismantle them for others. We want to highlight how education can be a catalyst for real change while hearing from those who have navigated industries that often seem out of reach. As we prepare for the launch of our ‘Future Programme,’ we are committed to amplifying these voices – a key step in ensuring our impact continues beyond the classroom, opening doors in all facets of life.”
The summit offers a platform to take action, network with a community of changemakers and leaders, engage in deep conversations, exchange ideas, and leave with new connections and fresh insights. Whether you’re an educator, policy expert, student, or simply someone committed to educational equality, the Project Access London Summit 2024 is the place to be.
