Redcot Care Home hosts ‘Meet The Manager’ coffee morning for community

To mark this years’ International Day of Happiness, on Thursday 20^th March, Redcot, the Haslemere-based residential care home run by Charity, Friends of the Elderly, which is celebrating its 120^th Anniversary this year, will be opening its doors and hosting its first Meet The Manager Coffee Morning.

The Meet The Manager Coffee Morning will give visitors, prospective residents, respite guests and their families the opportunity to see and experience, first-hand, the wide range of activities and great facilities on offer at Redcot.

Talking about the community event, Staci Abernethy, the newly appointed Interim Manager at Redcot said:

“Between 11am and 2pm on Thursday 20^th March, we will be hosting a community coffee morning which we hope will be the perfect opportunity for the local community, visitors and residents’ family members to pop in to meet myself and members of the care team.

“I will be available for one-to-one chats and on hand to take visitors on tours of Redcot to see our care home’s lovely facilities – including our very own pub, The Redcot Arms. Visitors will also be able to enjoy a warming cup of coffee and our Chef’s delicious homemade cakes and see the care team in action as they deliver individualised bespoke care to each resident and respite guest.

“The tours will take in all of Redcot’s many light, airy and spacious areas. Visitors will be able to see how roomy and elegant our bedrooms are and also see how our happy and cheery communal areas, including our lovely lounge, are ideal for entertaining family and friends, or simply a place to socialise or relax.”

During the morning, there will be a selection of activities taking place led by Redcot’s Award Winning Activities Coordinator, Ann Essam, including inclusive games, exercise classes and sing-alongs.

Staci concluded:

“By hosting The Meet The Manager Coffee Morning, it will provide myself and the Care Team with a great opportunity to meet new members of our local community, catch up with old friends, chat with prospective residents or respite guests and give tours of our lovely care home and strengthen our existing ties and relationships with our friends in Haslemere.

“Each member of our compassionate Care Team will be able to answer any questions visitors may have and show, first hand, how devoted they are to continuing to deliver high quality, bespoke care and support to everyone we care for.

“No booking is required for the Meet The Manager Coffee Morning, our door will be open, with fresh coffee and tasty cakes ready from 11am. We look forward to welcoming everyone to Redcot on 20^th March for a lovely morning.”
