Samaritans Do Good, Feel Good marks one year since launch
SAMARITANS and the rail industry are encouraging more people to support the charity through its Do Good, Feel Good platform.
Do Good Feel Good provides opportunities for people to support the charity’s life-saving service in as little as ten minutes.
Since it launched last year, almost 18,000 rail workers have visited the platform to have a look at the options open to them, with each spending five minutes on average exploring the platform.
These can include simple and quick actions like signing a petition, right up to taking on bigger challenges like running and cycling events.
You could also organise a Brew Monday coffee morning, a walk in memory of a loved one, or a raffle.
Any amount of time can make a difference. You can also learn more about how to support someone who is struggling to cope with Samaritans’ listening tips, and how to look after your own mental health using breathing techniques and muscle relaxation.
Sarah Scott, Corporate Account Manager at Samaritans, said:
“Do Good, Feel Good offers lots of ways for rail staff to support our cause, no matter how much time they have to give.
“There are lots of ways to get involved and we want to say a big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has already pledged their time and support to Samaritans.”
