Say ENOUGH to child hunger this Christmas with must have gifts from World Vision

As many around the world prepare for Christmas, there are many that are not in a position to celebrate. Hunger remains a key issue throughout the world, with one out of every 11 people facing hunger in 2023, and World Vision is calling upon its supporters to join them in saying ENOUGH to child hunger this Christmas.

One of the ways vulnerable children can be supported this festive season is through Must Have Gifts. Instead of buying a physical gift, Must Have Gifts go towards helping communities in need, including:

• Feeding a child for a month (£11) – emergency food supplies for a child living through disaster, keeping them healthy and nourished while their community recovers.

• Kitchen garden starter kit (£28) – equipment to grow fresh, nutritious vegetables, so children and families can grow healthy and strong.

• Seeds for life (£23) – Just one tin of drought-resistant seeds could be enough for five families to grow nutritious vegetables.

These gifts could make a major difference to vulnerable children and their families this Christmas and are a way of passing on kindness as we all start our Christmas shopping. Once a gift is chosen, an e-card to a loved one shows the difference being made on their behalf.

World Vision’s ENOUGH campaign pledges an estimated USD 3.4 billion to combat hunger and malnutrition. This campaign is one of World Vision’s key contributions to the Global Alliance Against Hunger and Poverty, launched at G20 this year with multiple organisations pushing to tackle the key issues of hunger and poverty.

The ENOUGH campaign continues to work with communities for meaningful change, extending far beyond the delivery of food. World Vision continues to work on projects for education, nutrition, livelihoods, and hygiene to ensure families and communities are set up for success and can provide children with healthy, nutritious meals as a part of a fulfilled life.
