Thorngate makes key appointment at Gosport care home

THORNGATE Churcher Trust has appointed Fiona Taylor as the new registered care manager at Russell Churcher Court in Gosport.

Fiona joins Thorngate from her role as home manager at Dolphin Homes where she was instrumental in the introduction of technology to streamline and improve its nursing home operations.

She has a background in nursing having worked as a staff nurse for seven years and her previous roles also include care manager in a residential care home in Gosport.

Thorngate chief executive Anne Taylor said:

“I am personally thrilled we have found someone of the calibre, enthusiasm, and experience of Fiona to lead the team in Russell Churcher Court. Her experience both in the care home sector and nursing will be invaluable to us and our residents.”

Fiona said she has been made to feel extremely welcome by the staff and residents at Russell Churcher Court.

Thorngate Churcher Trust is a modern charitable registered social landlord, offering independent assisted living and residential care from three sites in Gosport, Hampshire.

It operates 124 sheltered flats for assisted living, all with 24-hour warden support, and a 44-bed Russell Churcher Court which offers residential care for older people including those living with dementia.
