Three new Directors have been appointed at Camphill Village Trust

THREE new Directors have been appointed to the innovative national charity, Camphill Village Trust, as it develops its bold vision to be a leader in social farming and green care.

They will join the Executive Management Team in leading the transformation of Camphill Village Trust’s unique nature and land-based social care and supported living offer for adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health support needs.

As the charity marks its 70^th anniversary next year, it will build on its rich history by enabling more people it supports to live healthy, active, and independent lives of opportunity in its ten communities across England.

Sally Watts has joined the charity as the Supported Living & Green Care Director. She will lead supported living and registered services, co-production, enterprise, education, and therapeutic activities. She has ten years of experience as a director in the social housing and supported living sector.

Claire Twaites, is the new Estates Director, leading the charity’s aspirations for environmental sustainability, farming and land management and unlocking the potential of its assets. She brings a broad range of expertise in estates, facilities, commercial, residential asset investment and environmental sustainability gained in large public, educational and commercial organisations.

As the new Fundraising and Communications Director, Matthew Wilkley will focus on sustainably growing the charity’s voluntary income, increasing awareness and deepening engagement with existing supporters. Matthew was previously Director of Income Generation at Independent Age, the UK’s leading charity for older people in poverty and led communications for national youth homelessness charity Centrepoint.

Working with the Chief Executive Sara Thakkar, Sally, Claire and Matthew will join a Leadership Team operating across a national platform.
